Impossible to find the perfect laptop cooler. This one is worth trying. It works very well for the (insanely hot) top-end 2019 MacBook Pro. The fans in this article are certainly not quiet, but they are "pretty quiet". They're actually quieter than the 19-inch MacBook Pro's jet engines, so that's a good thing. In fact, the MBP is cooling down a bit; In tests, one day with and one day without the cooling pad, the MBP is MUCH MUCH louder, so this $20 device will help keep you sane. I only ever use an external keyboard (actually a Steel series from another planet, Apex Pro tkl - once you use it for development that's it) so I can't comment on using a laptop keyboard. But (A) the laptop keyboard is a joke (B) no normal person can use the keyboard on a 19 Macbookpro i9 - your fingers will turn to lava! Please note this is a GREAT product for lifting your laptop and getting some airflow EVEN IF YOU DON'T TURN THE FANS ON. (It's absolutely impossible to use the 2019 i9 mbp when it's on a table - the table, your house and the whole city will dissolve into the center of the earth, so forget about it.) It's worth trying , if nothing else. A good product. Very reasonable that this is impact ABS and NOT a crappy attempt at a metal stand, ABS is the right tool for the job.
