Dead zones, detents and restricted movement

On paper it looks like a good seesaw with many good qualities. I liked the idea of the USB hub and the included choke. But decent performance on paper ends there. First, the package came to me already open and with one mounting screw missing. The mounting structure is made of thin plastic and will break sooner or later. If you tighten it all the way, the clamps will bend. The movement of the clamp itself is not smooth. The crotch axis lifts and jerks. The aileron axis is better but has a 45 degree travel limit in each direction. Both axles suffer from blocking in the center of motion and the resulting huge steering dead zone. The dead zone makes it incredibly difficult to maintain good control and doesn't feel like a real yoke. Operating the rocker arm with one hand causes the control inputs to get stuck and stutter. The throttle is ok but has a patented DIN connector and cannot be used alone. This is a terrible product for the price it is asking. Since my package was missing parts I returned it for a refund but I would still send it back after trying the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke. The difference in processing quality and feel is enormous. The Alpha feels like a real helm and has 180 degree aileron axis movement. The pitch axis is smooth, with convincing drag of an untrimmed aircraft. I bought a separate Logitech USB Throttle Quad for this, at least until the Honeycomb Bravo comes along. I recommend skipping the Logitech yoke and jumping straight to Honeycomb. Don't waste your time with this controller.
