I'll start by saying it's very cute. And it suits the space I wanted to use it in. However, this is not exactly what I wanted. I needed an ottoman for my dog to stand up and get out of bed. Unfortunately it was a bit small for our needs (13 lb. Maltipoo). Not much for a jump up, but a jump down would have too many chances of falling. Also how the lid is made. She kinda "pops" when trying to jump on it. That's why it scared her a little. It doesn't seem durable enough for everyday use for a man. Especially if you try to use your feet to move him. Now to the petite lady. This could be a good option. I have to say that it was very easy to assemble. All you have to do is screw the legs to the bottom of the stool. But just know don't screw it in far, the screws are small and it will break the board. So I don't think it will be strong enough for everyday use. But for decoration it would be very good. Another downside for me. There were several flaws in the fabric. Nothing serious. But that, coupled with the fact that it didn't fit my dog and wasn't strong enough to use with a chair, I returned it. I'm posting a video and some photos to help others decide if this is for me.
