When I discovered the reusable cotton buds I jumped at the chance and bought a pack. They are much more environmentally friendly, save money in the long run and really don't cause too much inconvenience in my life. This is the second brand of cotton circles I've bought. The first brand I came across was also double layered. However, they sometimes made it a bit more difficult to wipe the face (the two sides slid against each other, almost like two pieces of silk, so holding the circle to clean the face was more difficult). This set (second brand) doesn't seem to have that effect though, giving me a little more control when cleaning my face. When it comes to washing my face, I don't use this mesh bag. I just think it's too small and the rounds need more room to shake and wash more thoroughly in the washing machine. I either toss them in a large regular laundry bag or just toss them without the bag. Sometimes they get lost in big dresses (as well as in socks), but so far I haven't lost a single cotton swab. The instructions recommend air-drying cotton swabs. I just throw mine in the dryer. This particular brand tends to wrinkle or crumble a bit, but I keep them in a container that flattens them, so this isn't too much of a problem for me. (By the way, cotton circles of the first brand do not wrinkle for me). These rounds are also compressed, but even more disposable. So no problem for me either.
