We love this seat! Our daughter has an illness and we have to be very careful that she doesn't slouch over, as often happens with these infant carriers for newborns, as we have to be very careful that her airways are not obstructed in any way. When I saw this seat in the store with a two tier cushion that made the seat go up more than any I've seen (so her bum doesn't go down so she folds in half - it's very similar like a cradle position), we knew it was what we needed and it's made that way. As stated in the manual, it keeps her head and neck in the correct position and therefore the airway. Installing the base in our Dodge Durango wasn't difficult at all. We have another child in the back so the child was behind the driver. Also because of her medical concerns, we have to be very careful about germs. A canopy is perfect for this purpose. If we make it public, we can close the dome completely. It's happening right above their feet. I saw a comment that it doesn't close 100%, not sure why you would want that, but it closes more than any other seat I've personally seen on the market and closes completely baby except her fingers . For our purposes and the features we got with this seat, it was 100% worth every penny. I bought from Revain and not in store because I was able to use my discount to complete registration, but this brand was not eligible for discounts or coupons at Buy Buy Baby.
