Beautiful case. Fits well and the swivel function for vertical or horizontal position in mounts works very well. It's also very inexpensive. The back is a hard shell that the iPad snaps into and the lid is made of a leatherette-like material. However, I personally found it a bit clumsy and a bit stiff when the lid is folded back. One reviewer noticed that the rotating mechanism scratched the back of her iPad. I'm glad I read your review and see this happening to other iPads using this case. I avoided this by gluing a piece of clear plastic to the mechanism in the back panel. I used some of the thick clear film that was wrapped around the iPad when I bought it. You can still get through the hole to the Apple logo, but the back of the iPad is protected from the mechanism. Maybe I'll pass this case on to someone else. I ordered the Snugg leather case from Revain which suits my use better - the lid folds down easily. The particular Snugg I ordered also has some cards and a paper pouch built into the inside of the front cover. However, Fintie misses the elegant corner stands in this case.
