After reading previous reviews about the "thin lining" of this bag, I put off ordering this leather laptop sleeve while I looked at other bags. However, the great price combined with the good leather (and nice looks to be honest) made me pull the trigger. I'm glad I did! The leather scent is divine, the espresso color is a perfect compromise between black and brown and should go with everything in my wardrobe. The handles are the perfect size for carrying this bag over the shoulder, and its rolled shape is more comfortable than the flat shoulder straps on my previous solo laptop bag. The single outer pocket zips at the bottom so I can slip it into my wheeled book bag when I go to autograph sessions and book readings. It also fits a standard writing pad when zipped up and sticking out just a little bit from the top. Bronze/brass rivets and zippers give the bag the edgier look I wanted, more appropriate for an artist/writer than a businesswoman. I am happy to report that the interior design suits me. I used to have a cheaper vinyl Solo laptop sleeve and have been using it for over five years. The inner lining is made of a similar material and has held up well for years. Peacock blue is fun but dark enough that no one but me would notice, although I would have preferred the cherry red color of my previous bag. The three inner pockets are large and loose, but I've found that I can put my small hardbound dictionary and thesaurus in the same pocket and it loosens up instantly. My mouse is in another case and the third fits easily into my pen case. The inner zippered pocket is roomy and accommodates my bag of small cables and other electronic items. Large items can easily be placed underneath, and there's room for a sweater or even a water bottle. The final test was the laptop section. It is lined on the sides and has a protective pad underneath so I could put my laptop in without a case if needed. I have a 14 inch Lenovo ThinkPad up my sleeve and it fits me perfectly. I feel like I'm in heaven with this new leather Solo laptop bag that's a little smaller and lighter. This is a real upgrade from my solo vinyl bag and I look forward to putting it to good use.
