I think it might be okay to order a size down if you didn't want that look. I think I might have ordered that size down in my case. Even though I have an oversized item, I am fond of this brick red color. It is beautiful with my complexion/coloring. I am loving the longer length. I love texture; not as soft as I imagined, but texture is attractive. There is stretch, and a split hem. The V-neck is deep, which is attractive. You might be able to wear one side slightly off-shoulder. However, again, if you want to have an oversized look, let's say to camouflage a figure flaw or two you will like it as I do.The sweater fabric is probably fine to wash in a gentle cycle, dryer on cool for a short while. I am not afraid of shrinkage at this point, and I encourage checking the product page to see if washing instruction/methods there will be different than my memory of them.I will wear with leggings, jeggings, jeans in denim, bootleg, straightleg, - dressier or not. Whatever you like. I have a bag that matches, as well as a pair of boots that might look nice since it is now officially the first day of fall.This is a lovely value. I love oversized items. There seem to be many of them offered, maybe in style, and always a place for them in my wardrobe.Enjoy!
