Medium helmet for skates, skateboards and scooters

I thought I would feel a little better protected in this helmet. But the dark foamy substance that can peel off inside confused me a bit; what should I do with it? oO Tried to wear, very uncomfortable. But I figured a broken head wasn't worth it, so here we go.
