Review on Black Logitech K740 Illuminated Ultrathin Keyboard ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ with Laser-Etched Backlit Keys and Soft-Touch Palm Rest by Micha Kobiaka แ Œ

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

I had two of these keyboards, now - the third. What can I say - comfortable, no doubt, it looks stylish, does not bend during operation, does not creak when printed, but . The quality is seams. I keep in reserve one dead as a "donor" of scissor mechanisms and keys. To the unreliability of the mechanisms themselves, instability to dust is added - it accumulates under the keys and nothing can blow it out from there, it is possible that it (dust) is there and is the reason for the gradual dying of the mechanisms. Speaking of mechanisms - the older model has better hinges than the newer one. I can not recommend unequivocally, especially for the extortionate price. Cougar Vantar is almost as comfortable and quiet, and the mechanics on it are definitely better. But the reliability is even worse - several keys stopped working .

Pros
  • 1) Thin, comfortable to work. 2) Scissor mechanism - works clearly and with a minimum of noise. You can print almost silently. 3) Convenient layout - you quickly get used to it and it turns out to type blindly very quickly. 4) The backlight is uniform and adjustable in brightness. 5) There is a group of function keys
Cons
  • 1) Very easily soiled, really attracts all the dirt, dust 2) The scissor mechanism is unreliable - the hinges that are attached to the keys themselves wear out quickly and they begin to move away from one side, and then completely fall off. 3) Very high price for the simplest functionality
