It's a great size. Its fits a full size coloring book/markers, my contigo coffee mug in the side pocket, soft drink can, my lunch tupperware, and various other things. The front pocket zipper is under a flap sorta so it doesnt snag on the anything. The straps are comfortable and EASILY/QUICKLY adjustable even while wearing it. Also the very bottom snaps into the top of the straps if you want to just use the handle.
