This is the perfect black backlight when you need more power and don't need a lot of space! I bought it to make YouTube videos and also for photoshoots. The image I've attached was a still from a video about URBAN LEGEND (this is my 5 minute rendition of "Bloody Mary"). LEDs have plenty of power and can be used for close-up lighting (although LEDs are very bright and will hurt your eyes if you're close, so be careful), as well as large areas for full-body or event photography. The only gripes I have with it is that it's only a switch (it would be nice to be able to adjust the intensity, which makes it better for close-up shots) and the cord is very short, which is good if you're using mount it somewhere, say in a bar, but it's a little inconvenient if you're traveling on set with it and often need extension cords. But those little issues aside, it's very intense and can be used in a variety of places, so I think the return you get for the money is totally worth it!
