I have an old large laptop that still works and does its job most of the time. But it's big, heavy and showing its age with a general sluggishness compared to newer machines. Back then, I didn't feel like spending a lot of money for a new laptop with a full operating system, so I started looking for Chromebooks. Most were still more than I wanted to spend but then I stumbled upon this refurbished model which was sold at a good price with free returns. I had nothing to lose if something didn't work out, so I decided to give it a try. I'm happy to report that this Chromebook has done everything I need it to do so far. It arrived very clean, with little wear on the Chromebook case, with all the minor blemishes. The biggest cosmetic issue is a decent scratch down the center of the screen. This does not impair the view, but is noticeably annoying. Because of this, I considered returning the Chromebook, but decided to keep it for at least a couple of days to see if the machine's nuts and bolts make up for this apparent flaw. And they really did! The battery on this thing is a workhorse! I intentionally used it for a day without plugging it in to drain the battery and test its lifespan, and it took a full day of turning it on and off before it died. It charged like a champ with no issues and I did afterwards, all with good battery results. Wi-Fi connectivity is solid, and web browsing and using any apps I have installed was fast. I've used the Zoom app a few times for some virtual classrooms and the app worked well, the camera worked well and the audio was clear. Overall I am very happy with this little machine! It's small and light and will be easy for me to carry back and forth to our camp where we don't go anymore due to the pandemic. But when we return to society and visit places like cafes and the library again, this fast car will be easy to take to those places too. If you are lucky enough to get a refurbished phone in as good condition as mine, and even luckier to get it without a scratch on the screen like mine, you will be happy with your purchase! :-D
