Bought to use with my G-Track Pro. It is strong enough to hold in any position. There were no sags or movements in two weeks. It stays where I put it and only moves when I want it to. The metal is good but there are a few scratches. The connections are also firm and springy, so it works really well with a heavier mic. I would even say that holding a DSLR for overhead photography would make sense. The desktop mount is really solid and has decent padding. Had to give it four stars because I had extra work to do taking it out of the box. I had to hand tighten the connectors with a Phillips screwdriver as each was a little loose. I also had to use a wrench to attach the mic mount because the piece of metal it attaches to kept spinning. Also, I didn't have velcro cable ties? All in all, this is a great mount. After the initial setup, it worked great for me. I'm glad I believed the reviews on this one. It's really hard work!
