Instructions can be a little confusing when removing links, but that's an overall measure of quality for the Fitbit Blaze. It doesn't feel or look cheap, it's easy to put on and take off, it's durable, and once you figure out how to adjust it, the strap will fit you really well. To remove a link, first look under the strap. There should be arrows on one side of the links that can be removed. This is the direction the pins will come out. Then align the pin hole with the included adjustment tool. It doesn't screw in or out, it's a push pin held in place by pressure. Start by slowly screwing in the adjustment tool and gently slide out the desired pin. Repeat this until all desired shortcuts have been removed. Sections of disconnected connections line up next to the strip to be reconnected. Insert the pin from the back of the arrow (it should slide in the same direction it came out) and gently push it in as far as you can by hand. Then, using the adjustment tool, slowly push the pin all the way in until the rib is flush with the outside edge of the link. Be careful not to go too far or you'll have to start over.
