Good idea, too expensive

I recently bought a minimalist wallet and while researching I came across these key organizers. Decided to give it a try. It seems to be the most popular model. I like the concept and the design is great. I used to look at my bunch of keys and it was a joke what a messy combination of bunch of keys and individual keys it was. Almost as much as I was trying to ring the bell on purpose the whole time! This has allowed me to reduce my clutter to my keychain, 5 keys, and 5 of those little discount cards. Looks a lot cleaner and quieter as a bonus. However, there are a few disadvantages: * The price is actually too high for a watch strap with a screw. As much as I like the concept of this product, it's not new. Again, cut this in about half the price and it becomes a huge gift. * This is not for people who get stuck in their path. If grandpa is the type of guy who likes to carry around a handful of keys like he has for the past 50 years, he won't be happy with that. Minimization comes at the expense of convenience. This is appreciated by people who go out a lot and don't want to clutter their fancy clothes or people and who are natural organizers.* The holder hides the base of the key which many of us use to identify the use of the key. You might want to come up with a different pattern (color, tape, etc.) to make it easier for you to identify your keys when they're put away. * The screw definitely needs threadlocker. Too much pressure on him to stay indefinitely.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
