As always, I washed the duvet before putting it on the bed. When I opened the dryer, there was silver-gray lint everywhere, like duvet filling. When I laid the blanket on the floor to check where the lint was coming from, I noticed a loose rope, although there was no gaping hole where the rope had been. I kept looking and couldn't find a hole. I put the blanket on the bed and started vacuuming up all the fluff and just trying to ride with it. While vacuuming, I noticed that the lint wasn't completely gone - I found that it literally came out inside out, as if thawing the fabric. Apparently this happens every time I wash it and now I can see all the silver fibers on the comforter. Also, one of the shams will be completely destroyed. The inner liner was completely torn while the other remained intact. With a ton of good reviews I thought everything would be fine but it's clear it was a waste of money.
