Review on Herm Sprenger Black Stainless Steel Prong Dog Training Collar: No-Pull German-Made Swivel Ultra-Plus Pet Pinch Collar for Effective Anti-Pull Training by Sopheak Kupke

I am training my rescued 2.5 year old Red/Lab/Mix 85# to be my service dog. It's all black and I wanted the training collar to be as discreet as possible. When putting on this collar, my friend immediately received a message that he must follow the input commands given to him. I like the swivel because I feel it helps keep the movement free and untangles the stationary ring, although a stationary ring can also be used to prevent the device from being pulled when it's in connection with the vertebra is used. This is a very high quality collar, well made and whilst I am not a fan of narrow collars this item appears to have been designed for safe and humane use. Because the tips of the tines are rounded rather than jagged or sharp, I'm comfortable with it. I use it with the understanding that it is intended for temporary use and not to be used as an everyday collar, just for training. As with any collar, misuse of this item can result in damage and you as a handler should be aware of this at all times. As for the extra pens, which I buy separately, I found I didn't need them after all, but I didn't want to regret not having them in case I needed them later. There is no "paint peeling" and the color is retained, which surprised me when I looked at it before I bought it. I highly recommend this product!
