This is my first portable monitor and it has made my college life so much easier. I can follow lectures on a screen, take notes on my laptop, and have the ability to use large fonts and sizes that are easy to see. The monitor is very intuitive and it took about 3 minutes to learn how to use it without instructions, but instructions are available. It is true to size, bright and very durable, with a large battery and hold charge function. I wish I had gotten it sooner. This is not a touch screen. I'll update this in a few months so you know more about durability.
