They are great for what it is. You don't smell. They slide very little. Maybe they would slide less if I found giant spikes on the bottom, but I'm afraid that giant spikes will destroy the bottom of my car. They are made of thick, elastic rubber material. They cover almost the entire front floor of my 2016 Honda Fit. The rear floor mats only cover a small portion of the back row, but I knew their dimensions before I bought them. However, after using them for a week, I decided to buy some custom made rugs. Yes, they're about 5 times more expensive, but what's the use of a rug if it doesn't cover the entire floor? It's summer now and they're doing a great job, but once winter comes all that snow will easily wander around the edges and still get under those mats and onto the floor of the car. While I think these rugs are the best all round rugs I could find, I still wish they fit better.
