I need a small BPA free bottle to fill with water to keep by my bed at night as I need hydration. I needed something to drink while I was practically asleep so I didn't have to wake up to remove the cap and then screw it back on. I love bears to buy honey from so I figured they might be pretty and cute. And they're cute (wish the bear had brown eyes) EXCEPT that you either have to remove the straw if you want to close the lid or stick the straw into the bear's body, after which you have to remove the straw. Screw cap to push the straw far enough to use the straw. Since I'm only keeping the bear in my bed I don't expect any problems and will just leave the straw sticking out as it needs to be washed daily. I just figured I could carry one of the three bottles in my bag when I'm walking around town or waiting for a meeting — you know, replace those single-use water bottles with something cute like a teddy bear, but if the straw couldn't retracting into the body of the bottle and then popping out again when you open the cap isn't as useful as I thought.
