Used to replace 250w incandescent bulbs in two lampposts. They provide excellent lighting far superior to the original bulbs, but they don't last very long. We found the first one dismembered on the ground during an autopsy after the winter. Assuming water somehow got in there which froze and broke, so just swapped it out and threw away the broken one. Then we noticed another one a few days ago, the part with the LEDs has come loose from the internal wires (a few days ago it was fine), now it's spring and the weather is rough. After removing it I found that the two pieces of fuselage just snap together like a child's toy and the pole that the light shines on acts as a flagpole, so I'm guessing the vibration ripped them apart and I was able to glue them with epoxy. and it works, but why repeat something to be used for outdoor lighting?
