Perfect for what I wanted! I have a big boy (as you can see) and a puppy and this works for both boys. I can leave the front door open while I garden and the boys can lie inside or outside and I don't have to worry about their friends running around. Past my boys aren't aggressive whatsoever but they will run across the street if their boyfriend comes over so they can say hello. It's the perfect length for getting onto the sidewalk and seeing all your friends, but not so cool for running onto the street! I will definitely be buying a second one for the pup so they can play and relax together as they please and see their friends but not go out! I was surprised at how thick and well made the leash is, as my pup likes to chew on leashes and other fabrics I don't need to worry about that, plus the post in the ground is amazingly thick and holds up so well. I have an old one from another company that's so skinny and straight and no cork that my big boy pulled it right out of the ground. Like this one
