The bottle of oil could not be located. Perhaps it's tucked away with the children's playthings somewhere. Yet, the item is not contained within the box. It was mentioned in one of the articles that I read that the machine may be used without the usage of lubrication. On the other hand, I went years without using any oil with my Philips appliances. Let's wait and see what the outcome is. These are some advantages: 1. it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand; despite its diminutive size, it fits the palm of your hand perfectly. 2. you are able to work off of battery power - the previous Philips had issues with the cord; after a year of use / storage without a box, it stopped working normally from constant bending. The new Philips does not have these issues. I really hope that something like this won't occur again. 3. in my view, the optimal ratio of quality for such a price (keeping in mind the current exchange rate for conventional units) These are some downsides: The charge indicator remains lit in the same manner at all times; it is not possible to tell whether the battery is still charging or whether it is already fully charged.
