I bought some mini monkeys from TC Bros for my Vulcan S and reused the stock grips. The standard handlebar had weight ends, leaving the end grips exposed. I needed something to cover the holes as I no longer needed the weights on the end of the bar (and the standard weights didn't work anyway). Decided to buy these as they looked pretty decent and were unremarkable (not to mention the super cheap price). To anyone who says it's cheap plastic, you must have bought the wrong item or an obsolete item because mine were billet aluminum. You can tell by the clink when you put a hex head screw in (they're clearly aluminum on the outside). That being said, they're probably a lot more durable than you'd be led to believe by other reviews. It took me about 2 minutes to install. The key to installation is that you must preload each end of the rod to the point where it is already tight when you first insert it. This will ensure that the inner plastic nut is gripped so that it does not rotate in the shank. One reviewer said that loosening the nut got into the handlebars. If you slowly release and pull at the same time, this will not happen. Because the nut is plastic and not metal, it won't slip off on its own. Unlike other reviewers, I'm not worried about them falling out due to vibration. If you install them correctly, they will be very cozy.
