I bought this bag from another website that claimed it was 'real leather'. Many buyers don't realize that "GENUINE LEATHER" is to LEATHER what "chipboard" is to WOOD. This is junk. the skin that is ground, mixed with glue, and then rolled and pressed into a pattern resembling real skin. It is VERY cheap, lacks strength, will peel and separate over time and use. Companies that make inexpensive bags have found a "gold mine"! Using the terms "genuine leather”, "genuine leather”, "split leather” or "second layer waxed leather” (the most common CHEAP leather) allows the company to increase the hype and PRICE of their bags! The ad said 'Real Leather' when I bought it, but now the description says 'First Layer Cowhide'. This is interesting because THERE IS NO CONCEPT like "First Late Cowide" but it is a way of saying "upper leather". Grained leather, this is the highest quality leather you can buy. The bag itself feels good and looks good. However, this year I had a bag with metal fittings. EVERYTHING is faded and there are "ripples" in the leather, showing that the glue holding the layers of recycled, polished leather together is clearly separating. This is a beautiful bag made from inferior materials. There are many companies selling the same bag, which makes me doubt that the sellers claim to be the bag's designers. Just search Google for images. Definitely NOT worth the money!
