I like book lamps. I used to work in a bookstore because I bought different kinds. But this book light is definitely my favorite. The neck is very flexible. The base can stand on its own on a flat, level surface if required (although it's probably not designed for that particular use at all) and is magnetic - a great feature! The clip is strong and secure but not strong enough to damage the cover or pages. The round head (backlight) is very nicely designed and lights up well. The touch button is located on the narrow end of the clip top and emits 3 different types of light when pressed 3 times. A fourth press turns it off. The light ranges from warm to cool. Each setting can be made brighter or dimmer by pressing and holding the button - the lamps will automatically brighten or dimmer. The charging socket is located at the large end of the clip. I used the light while charging. The charge lasts a long time! And it loads fast. No batteries - hooray! Sometimes I like to read in bed and my husband says the light is nice and doesn't bother me. This little flashlight has everything you could love. Well designed and durable. I highly recommend it!
