I've had this WAVLINK Thunderbolt 3 4K Display Universal Dock for about a month now and here are my pros and cons of my experience. Pros: 1. If you need ports, there are LOTS of them! It features 1 headphone and/or microphone jack, 1 display port, 1 Thunderbolt 3 display port, 1 Thunderbolt 3 up to 85W charging port, 1 GB Ethernet port, 1 power connector for the included charger, 1 SD and 1 Micro SD card reader and 4 USB 3.0 ports. It also has a power switch for easy on and off.2. When used with my MacBook Pro 2018 it worked flawlessly, allowing me to use 2 additional monitors, one with a ThunderBolt connector and the other with a display connector. I could also mirror or extend the monitors. I really liked how this WAVLINK dock allows me to use both. I've tried others that let you connect both, but one dominates the other and only allows you to use a secondary display. NOT with it. I was able to get 4K with both the display port and the ThunderBolt 3.3 port. I was able to power and charge my MacBook just by plugging it in. I didn't have to use the charging port for my MacBook charging cable as the power to charge my MacBook came from the power bank that came with this docking station. This is great because now I've removed the Big Apple Charging Box that came with my MacBook. I like the handy on/off switch on the side. When I'm done with that I just press it once and it turns everything off and then I press it again when I'm ready to turn it back on and everything instantly turns back on. 5. Speed with USB 3.0 ports is fast. I've tried all 4 and BAM, they all worked the same way and none gave me any problems. This is very important to me as I do a lot of video editing and need my videos and photos to load quickly. The daisy chain feature is just amazing! This allows you to connect this adapter to others (daisy chain) to give you the ability to use up to 5 ThunderBolt devices. Now it's a win if you want to add more.7. This power supply is a 180W DC 20V/9A adapter and you can see how powerful it is when you take it out of the box.8. When using Ethernet, Displayport, Thunderbolt 3 port, Thunderbolt 3 power cable port, 1 USB-C drive and 2 USB-A ports at the same time, this adapter got a little warm. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hottest, this adapter hovered around a 6, which isn't too bad. However, you also have to consider that this is pushing 4K, up to GB Ethernet, charging my 2019 16 inch MacBook, transferring data (video and images) at the same time, so this heating is acceptable. I love the size and color of this WAVLINK. It's not that huge a dock and it easily slides right under my second monitor, and the included Thunderbolt 3 cable is long enough to have one. Cons: 1. At the time of writing, it seems "this current model" is no longer available and they have a different model now.2. I ran Ethernet speed many times over 3-4 weeks and after upgrading my cable modem and EERO mesh system I was able to get 920MB speed. Since it says 1GB here and I never really got to 1GB (very close) I'm adding it to the scam section. **For reference only** 1. Use the included Thunderbolt 3 cable, or if you decide to use a different one because you need something longer, MAKE SURE IT IS A GENUINE THUNDERBOLT 3 CABLE as Otherwise you may have problems with extended monitor flickering.2 . This DOES NOT WORK on non-Thunderbolt 3 compatible devices. Once again, YOU MUST HAVE a Thunderbolt 3 compatible device. Just because your laptop or PC has a USB-C port doesn't mean that port is a Thunderbolt 3 port. So make sure your device is Thunderbolt 3 compatible before purchasing. With everything I have listed above I am giving this one a 5***** star rating. I really like this docking station. It has all the ports I need, the video quality is excellent when using a DVI display port or Thunderbolt 3 3.1 port, and now this WAVLINK is used as my everyday docking station. With that in mind, I would like to recommend this particular WAVLINK dock. station, I can't because it seems to be out of production. :(
