Review on RUFFWEAR Grip Trex: High-performance Dog Boots for Hiking and Running by Andrea Sonnier

Great fit! Protect paws!

I got them after my dog injured his paws and tore his pads. I wanted something that would protect their feet on the concrete while the pads heal, but also be flexible and tactical enough to use later on the trails. They fit very well and are true to size/measurements (I followed Ruffwear's measurement guidelines). They feel roomy when you put them on, but you have to keep in mind that when walking/running, their toes are splayed to allow them to move. I got them with Ruffwear boot socks after reading reviews about seams/edges causing ulcers in dogs where they rubbed. There isn't too much material inside so I figured it would be extra protection for her healing paws. She had no problem walking in it, although the 2.5" is a little big for her 2.25" hind legs. I really wish you could buy them in pairs rather than groups of four for cases where their front and back legs aren't the same size. Although she is used to it and can walk in big boots, I can hardly see them tripping over them as they are a bit big for their hind legs. If there was a size difference of more than 0.25 inch or she really had problems with her back legs, I would probably buy another set in a smaller size so everything fits.
