life changer! No doubt - worth every penny.

Life Changing. Don't hesitate and waste another minute reading reviews and browsing other products - this watch is worth every penny. We introduced this when our son was 2 years old and he figured it out from his first nap. I explained this to him while he was my captive audience in the car on the way home and that was all it took - I was amazed. Here's how we use it and a little about its features. * Sleep Setting - You can set how long you want them to nap. The clock turns blue during this time and turns yellow after the set time has elapsed. You must induce sleep by pressing the daytime sleep button. * Sleep time - this mode starts automatically at the set sleep time. Of course, you can start it manually if you like. Just like bedtime, the clock will turn blue until the set alarm time when it turns yellow. *Timeout - We only recently started this when our son turned 3 and it works. You set the desired number of minutes and the clock turns red during the time-out. * White noise - er, it's fine. Instead, we use an air purifier as white noise. The problem with this function is that at the end of the set sleep or sleep time, the white noise stops abruptly. It wakes up our son. * Songs - Stories/songs can be set to play before bed and during the day. It's great for helping your baby fall asleep. My only complaint is that after the set duration (again, you set how long you want it to play), like white noise, it abruptly stops. I wish it would go away but it wasn't a problem for our son. * Reward setting - I didn't use this setting because I came up with a scenario where I would find it useful. * Alarm clock - when our son grows up, this will come in handy. Here is our story after almost a year of use, our son slept in his large cot for about a year without too many problems. Sometimes he would get up and play in his room while he slept, but most of the time he stayed in bed. Then he decided just leaving his room and giving up his afternoon nap. It doesn't work with a kid on the street. I didn't like the idea of locking him in a room, so that was our choice, and damn it, it was the perfect solution. Now he stays in his room and sleeps well about 95% of the time. He plays the remaining 5% quietly, waiting for his clock to turn yellow. The same goes for sleep time. No more fear of me when his soft voice would wake me from a deep sleep by standing by my bed at 3am and asking if it was time to get up. We have a baby monitor in his room with sound only. So if he wakes up early and isn't in the mood to go back to sleep, he simply asks us to come in and set his watch to yellow.
