Review on SEMOO Self-Inflating Camping Sleeping Pads Lightweight Comfort 1.2 Inch Thick Water Repellent Coating Mats Great For Indoor Outdoor Backpacking Hiking by Steven Latham

Not the best :/ best in my review

I really wish I could say how great these are but unfortunately that’s not the case :/ I bought 2 of these for a 30 day cross country road trip for my boyfriend and I, because I knew we’d be camping most of the time. The first night of the trip we used these and I think I had one of the worst nights of sleep ever and I am an experienced camper used to camping for long periods of time. It barely inflated at all and felt like we were sleeping right on the ground. I actually wound up laying all our blankets and sleeping bags on top in effort to make it more cushioned but it still was very difficult to sleep on. halfway through the trip we actually wound up splurging and just buying an air mattress and pump because we couldn’t take it anymore. The size is probably the only plus- it’s pretty compact and good for overnight camping if you need to fit it in a backpack for a long hike but I don’t think it should be advertised as "self inflating” because it inflates like a cm.

Pros
  • The SEMOO camping pad is designed with durability in mind, ensuring it can withstand even the toughest of outdoor conditions
Cons
  • Can be difficult to determine correct inflation level at night
