Advantages: Robust metal housing. It doesn't warp no matter what headset you use. The rubberized bottom helps keep it in place. Although I REALLY wish they had chosen a different location for this info square below as the print is NOT gummed and negates part of the grip. - Pass-through USB 3.0 port x2. I haven't tested the voltage or bandwidth yet, but the fact that I can plug in a wireless headset transceiver and cable to charge BOTH headphones is just sooooo handy. An onboard sound card is handy if you're using an older/cheaper motherboard. Made for the iCue ecosystem. For me it was ready to work with the other Corsair products. Cons: RGB colors look washed out. Had it right next to my PC loaded with another Corsair RGB (RAM, fan, AIO, light bar) and it seems VERY weak. Pure Red 255.0.0 gave me a sort of pale color, almost pink. Most notably the Corsair logo, which you can hardly tell is evenly colored. In contrast, the rest of my Corsair RGB stuff was so bright I wanted to turn it off. I can't tell if it's LEDs or if the plastic in front of it is too thick. - Onboard sound card is wasted if you have a newer motherboard with decent onboard sound. Or if you've already invested in a PCI-E sound card or USB DAC. - There are problems deleting from iCue. It's like the program accidentally forgets it's connected and reconnects. And every time it falls, it resets the lighting to its default value, i.e. rainbow spiral (?). And unlike other Corsair products I have, I can't set the "Default Hardware Color". Every time it crashes or I reboot the system it defaults to this rainbow spiral until iCue boots up and recognizes it. I hope this is just a software issue and will be fixed. Other Thoughts: - I'm really curious about the USB voltage and bandwidth, especially as the other reviews here have been critical. I'm also curious if I can use the dedicated USB 3.0 DAC connectors on my Gigabyte x470 board to power it up. I bought the entire Corsair ecosystem when I built my latest PC. Case, Commander Pro, RAM, All-in-One, fans, RGB strips, keyboard and now this. And the only negative I can say about it is; iCue is a complete mess. This always gives me problems with Corsair's own JUST products. Your hardware seems so good, but everything must be tied to a program that just fails all the time. iCue only makes their products look worse.
