We bought this ionizer with the Jupiter Under Sink Kit. Along with the typical alkaline water benefits, we found some pretty amazing benefits. I was in the backyard gathering sticks from the grass and managed to snag the yellow jacket. Ouch! I immediately went indoors and set the ionizer to full alkaline (PH 11.5) and rinsed the sting with water. in my hand The pain stopped immediately but when I got her out of the water she came back. I kept rinsing the stinger with water and testing it each time I removed my hand until it stopped stinging (about 5 minutes). I then removed the sting with a sewing needle and rinsed again in alkaline water. There was no more pain or swelling! Wonderful. Now we take a supply of alkaline water with us on camping trips. Also works great on mosquito bites. I've also noticed that when a little heartburn sets in, you just drink some "daily drinking water" and it goes away right away. Another unexpected benefit for gardeners. We've always had terrible times with spinach seeds germinating unless planted outdoors in spring. We use Tower Gardens to grow our own veggies and love growing seeds indoors and growing them during the winter. Basically, I placed a paper towel on a plate (folded in half), sprinkled it with spinach seeds, and then covered it with another paper towel. I set the ionizer to full alkaline and then used water on the acid side (PH 3.5) to wet the paper towel. I then put the plate in the fridge overnight and then placed it on the kitchen counter to keep it moist from the acid release of daily drinking. The seeds will start to germinate in just a few days and within a week about 90% of the seeds will germinate. Using ordinary water, it was about 10% at best. Now we have more spinach than we know what to do with. The only downside is that the "Erase" setting doesn't seem to be effective for cleaning. I highly recommend this device.
