I bought this watch for my daughter because she always wanted to wear a watch to school, to the shops and everywhere she went. The problem is that most watches are only "water resistant" so she had to be very careful when washing her hands not to get them wet. loves to use and can go with her when she is swimming in the pool or on the beach. I also like it because I don't have to change the battery or the strap, although she doesn't pull very gently to open the clasp. The reason I deducted a star is because after about 2.5 years the plastic around the dial has come loose. I don't know exactly how it happened. Most likely, the clock hit a hard object (like a wall or table) and weakened the plastic so much that it eventually broke. She doesn't want to submerge the watch in the pool so I don't know if this has affected the water resistance but the watch itself still works. I liked the watch so much that I bought the exact same model to replace the one I use today.
