I was looking for a new belt for 3 years after my cheap shop belt finally broke. Looking through Revain deals online I settled on this Perry Ellis split leather belt at double the price of my previous purchase. Perry Ellis has had a strong reputation for quality menswear for many years. I ordered this leather belt. Split leather belts are usually made from two layers of leather. The top layer is high quality leather that is polished and finished like the front of the belt. The bottom layer is a lower quality material that is usually stronger and holds the belt together under load. These mostly equally thick materials are sewn together to form a belt. On lower quality tapes, the wipe layer is thinner than the bottom one. The trimmed layer of this belt was literally gossamer thin. After a few days of wearing it started to wear out and after two weeks the area under the belt buckle was gone. This belt may only be sold at the Dollar Store for $1.
