2006 Tundra Double Cab

The programming procedure for Tundra 2006 differs between single and double cab. I have a 2006 double cab and initially the manual (for a single cab) seemed useless. Then a google search revealed that I should have followed the instructions for the double cabin. As soon as I follow the correct instructions, everything works and the key pairs are fine. Below I will attach instructions: 1. Start with the key out of the ignition.2. OPEN and UNLOCK driver's door. CLOSE all other doors including the trunk.3. INSERT and REMOVE the key from the ignition.4. Locate the door lock/unlock switch on the driver's side.5. LOCK and UNLOCK the switch 5 times. Try setting the tempo to 1 second for each LOCK and UNLOCK sequence. (Hint: LOCK and UNLOCK = 1 time per 1 second)6. CLOSE and OPEN driver's door.7. LOCK and UNLOCK the switch 5 times. Try setting the tempo to 1 second for each LOCK and UNLOCK sequence. You have 50 seconds to complete steps 7-10 (Hint: LOCK and UNLOCK = 1 time per 1 second)8. INSERT KEY into ignition switch.9. Turn on the ignition, then TURN OFF DOUBLE (turning on only hesitates to start the car) 10. REMOVE the key from the ignition switch.11. The door locks will toggle (lock and unlock) to confirm successful entry into programming mode.12. PRESS and RELEASE the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on the first remote you program (it doesn't matter which remote you program first)13. Once you let go, press and hold the lock button on the same remote for 2 seconds. The door locks go through the successful programming of the remote control.14. Repeat steps 12 and 13 for each additional remote control you want to program. If you do not have additional programming remotes, skip to step 15.15. Close the driver's side door. Programming complete.
