I have never used a very closely shaved product like this, I have used regular clippers. Yes, clippers can get close, but not as close as this razor. It was easy to use the first time, you just had to know which way to move it. At first I used a hair clipper to make it easier for me to cut my hair. I have not used shaving foam when cutting with this product and it has been fine.
