Well when I received the cables I plugged them in and to my delight they really started charging. After 15 minutes of charging I went from 2% to 25% charge. I leave it plugged in for another 10 minutes and burn my finger when it touches the infected part of the cord! With this thing heating up so quickly, imagine how hot it would get if left unattended for an hour or more? I unplugged the cord and will NEVER use it, let alone buy these things again! I'm very glad I bought them on a lightning deal and didn't pay full price for them! What really amazed me was all the POSITIVE feedback these cables have received. Did I just get a bad batch or something? Oh, and before I unplugged it, I snapped a picture of it plugged into my iPad mini 5 and it said "not charged". So not only does it overheat, it also stops charging!
