First, it is smooth and elastic grain but not thin. It's the perfect minimalist bag, but larger and roomier than a handbag/phone case designed for gigs. I shrunk my triple checkbook size purse (as it was really overkill for my needs), didn't need my drugstore/mom's pouch as the internal zip divider held everything. It definitely expands on a few more things. A protein bar, keychain, and iPhone XR fit into an external zippered pocket. I hope the longevity doesn't work as I just got this but it looks like it will. The inner material can be wiped clean as it is not fabric. So if something does spill, I am sure it will dry well and not smell bad. Very satisfied. I'll probably buy another one because it's so darn cute.
