When I opened the package, my first thought was, "You're kidding! I just paid 70.00 for a piece of plastic!" The instruction consisted of a sheet of paper with photos of a person lying in various positions. I tried using it on my psoas and it was a total failure. I was about to send it back. I then went to You Tube and was able to get the basic idea from videos that were posted by others. There is no right or wrong way to use this tool, you just have to get down on the floor and see which works best. I found a spot on my psoas on the right side and placed it on my abdomen over one side of the instrument. It hurt at first because my muscles are very tight. But I was able to penetrate deeply into the muscles ". After about 45 seconds, I felt my muscles begin to relax. I switched the instrument to the left side. I repeated this process several times. I stood up and the pain stopped! I h slept through the night for the first time in months! I had a double knee replacement and a left hip replacement. I was confident that with the pain I was in I would need a right hip replacement. I could hardly walk because of the pain. None of the medical professionals I see have suggested that I might have a tight psoas. I came across this while researching why my hip hurts all the time. My knees started hurting again. I work at a desk all day, so it's understandable that those were tight muscles. I've experimented with quads, calves and even shoulders! This plastic tool is a life-changing marvel. When I use it, I look like an acrobat, but there isn't a single muscle I can't reach. Again, all you have to do is literally dig and work every tense muscle and find what works for you! Bye bye tennis ball!
