I wear 7-8 women and was looking for an all round welly that is really comfortable for rain, gardening and even snow (we don't have much snow so wellies with a thick wool toe cap will do for me). Over the past few years I've tried Hunter, Marsh and Joule. They were all so heavy and bulky that I didn't even want to put them on when it really rained, it seemed like I had to do a special "rainbow" heavy clumsy walk, and my feet were so warm in the rain. summer too. I stumbled upon this by accident and with free return shipping I figured I'd try the kids' largest size. They fit my 7-8 adult woman foot. They are amazing and feel so comfortable I would wear them everyday, all day. Just like regular shoes! They are flat which I like, I don't like wearing heels of any kind and most adult wellies have them. They are super flexible. The inner cotton is fine even without socks. I can even put a warm sock in it for winter. They're a bit difficult to put on, I can move my foot without stooping or tucking my tongue at the back, but they're not as slippery as other wellies. They're cute in their own way, but not as cute as your typical wellies, I'll admit they have a different vibe (at least in an adult). The toe seems very wide to me. compared to normal adult shoes. But more important to me is how they feel than how they look. I like them so much that I plant my three year old on them too. It's sad to see him struggling in his larger, heavier wellies, even though they have cute trains. I'm sure he can walk in them without tripping, wear them with socks all winter, and wear them like regular shoes even on non-rain days. Wellington boots were new to him, only on very rainy days. b/c they are difficult to walk on (and even cause a couple to face-collision and trip while running). I don't think that will be the case with these. I want this brand to make real adult shoes. But if you're a women's size 7-8 or smaller, you're in luck, try 6-6.5 in these!
