I don't normally wear a petite size, and normally wear a regular womens medium. This medium in a petite size fit me! I was surprised but happy since this sweater is very nice. It is long enough on me and the sleeves are 3/4 so they look fine. The silver detailing makes this sweater nicer than others and can be worn during the day, to work, out to dinner, anywhere. I washed in cold water and did dry it a bit in the dryer trying to shrink it just a little, since it was a bit large on me. I did not notice much shrinkage at all.
