Absolutely great for outdoor use when I need a hob and grilling, it's my favorite grilling tool. This is an induction hob so make sure you don't have aluminum pots and pans, it works great with cast iron or the very popular All Clad brand. Your cookware must be magnetic. Another thing I really like about this hob is how quickly it cools down. I have a small one running around and it doesn't seem like it's big enough to reach, but it's always nice to have that extra layer of protection and I have a hot stove top. Imagine the future, I'll probably use us on hikes, plugged in and connected to my generator. Mine with and I live how quickly it heats up. I hope that was helpful.
