I finally found the time to swap out this power supply. I'm sure it would have worked fine if I hadn't been careful and the manufacturer had chosen a bad design. Instead of 12V/+5V/Ground like every other power supply I've worked with, the terminals are 12/-5V/Ground. +5V is at the other end of the terminal block next to the AC input. It's my fault for not checking my wiring carefully before checking the power supply and emitting smoke, so I can't justify an entirely negative review. And I can't justify sending it back. However, I also cannot give a full star to a product that seems like a very simple design flaw.
