Decent LED headlight bulb

I installed it on my old Corolla. It suffered from some lens fogging due to age, so I replaced the stock 55w/60w incandescent bulbs with 80w/100w halogen bulbs with ceramic harness. I hoped that this LED technology with the specified brightness would solve the internal overheating problem. Here are a few observations and caveats: - Seems well done. Apart from the exposed LED, which is protected by the light housing, the build quality is pretty solid and should easily reach the claimed IP68 waterproof rating. It has a fan, albeit a very small one. It runs whenever the light comes on to ventilate the circuit/radiator directly opposite the fan. The fan is small, so the noise is very low. I had to get very close to hear him. I'm not a fan of moving parts on lightbulbs, but I've tried LED lightbulbs with ribbon-type heat-dissipating fins and they didn't last long. I think I'd prefer a quiet fan, although I'm concerned about dust issues, especially since you can't hide the fan behind a dust cover (see below). I also don't have the option to fit the original rubber dust cover on the back of the flashlight body due to the need for ventilation. This isn't very convenient, but you can push the lightbulb through the cover, although this will block the fan. It has a 13 inch tail wire which makes things more difficult. The installation instructions are a bit confusing as the bayonet mount needs to be removed prior to installation. In practice you will quickly understand why: the clip that fixes the lamp holder is blocked by the cable. Inserting the bulb after attaching the bayonet plate isn't easy either, but luckily the clip on the crown was just a metal wire that could be pulled apart, which I did. This 13" long tail has a little filter the size of a matchbox. a regulator you need to fix somewhere. The directions call for hiding it behind a dust cover, which is utterly ridiculous (there just isn't room). It is just something to come up with yourself depending on your car's design. The light is quite bright with good spread.Although for comparison 80W still seems a bit brighter (see fig.) I think it's around that same brightness as my original 55w 60w halogen bulbs except color is white color looks about the same as luxury car factory HIDs white but not bluish I thought 6000K would be bluer and was The color isn't too garish as there are many other new cars with this light temperature, especially those that use LED technology for their DRLs or parking lights Overall this is a good product and certainly a zie possibly effective solution. While it doesn't give me the killer brightness that an overpriced light output would suggest, it's still bright enough to roughly match the original factory H4s. You'll have to come up with some creative solutions to tidy up the rather long cables, and dust in the engine bay can be a problem for the fan. Otherwise, it's fairly cheap and works as expected.
