An electric razor can't shave as closely as an old-fashioned razor and shaving cream; at least that's what I always thought. That's why I've never bought it. But this razor is amazing! I love that I can shave before I walk out the door and I don't have to shower or dry my hair first. Instead of the hour it would take I can shave in 2 minutes and be done in 10 minutes. You don't have to press as hard as you would with a disposable razor, and it takes a bit of getting used to. I have VERY sensitive skin and I have had no problems using this shaver on a daily basis. Well worth the money!
