Don't use HDMI - my new review
I am using this 29 inch monitor as a second monitor for my WFH installed from a 2017 MacBook Air. Everything on this external monitor was stretched when using HDMI - neither my computer's settings nor any third-party apps selected the correct resolution for the resolution. Instead, I bought an inexpensive mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable and that immediately resolved the stretch. The picture is not stretched, clear, bright and I even enjoy the monitors' speakers to listen to Spotify during the working day.
