Done, just plug and play! The monitor came with a fully charged battery, I used it in video mode for several hours each day and most of the battery was still there. The video quality is excellent, as is the sound. I like that you can adjust the volume on both the baby unit and the parent unit. If your child loves music, there are several lullabies to choose from. There are 3 settings available - constant video/audio stream, constant audio only stream, or you can turn it on when it's picking up noise. Cons: The monitor screen is small and the camera doesn't have a zoom function or the ability to scan the room. It's just a place and a little thing, but it works well for us.
