I found this VCR to be a huge disappointment for many reasons, few of which were not overpriced. Label. The most succinct way to characterize its shortcomings is to compare it to budget VCRs of the late '90s and early 2000s. From cheap build to ridiculously poor 'features and options', this device is sorely lacking. If you have a decent smartphone, you will get much better video and sound quality, as well as real features, in my opinion. From the body it looks very cheap, like a child's toy. Auto-on responsiveness when opening the screen is fast. But you quickly get frustrated when you find a varied selection of menu items that make you wonder if the whole "real" menu is missing. The description says 4K, but even 1080p seems dubious to me. If you want audible audio, an external audio source is required as it lacks even the basic metallic sound of video audio. Photos look surprisingly grainy, as does video. Changing "Default" color to "Light" does nothing. The only (video) thing that impressed me was the night vision function. Back to the menu: it's incredibly sparse and poorly organized. Sometimes some elements on the flip screen can be touched, and sometimes (with no visible clues) the menu/screen is untouchable and you have to go to small buttons. No autofocus, no face tracking, no macro option, thumbs-forward zoom works but degrades image quality more than normal. I appreciate the remote control but it doesn't make up for what I miss.
