The mattress slides off the bed.
Nothing holds the mattress to the side parts. The bars are smooth so they slide off in any direction with the slightest pressure. I had to make and screw 4 wooden clips that stick out enough to hook the mattress frame. About 1-1/4 inches high and about an inch. If I have to buy another bed, it won't be this one.
